Practical support from a London-based practice
Limited Company Accounts & Tax Support
Running a company brings together business decisions, financial records and reporting responsibilities. Delakazzi helps directors turn their accounting records into clear year-end accounts and understand the tax work needed alongside them. We agree the periods, deliverables and responsibilities at the outset.
Bring the year-end position together
Bank transactions are only part of the picture. We review the agreed records for outstanding customer invoices, unpaid supplier bills, equipment, borrowing and other balances that affect the accounts. Missing information and unusual transactions are raised for explanation before the figures are finalised.
Keep company and personal finances clear
Money introduced or withdrawn by a director needs to be understood and recorded correctly. We ask what transactions relate to and identify items requiring supporting records. A payment from the company account should not automatically be treated as a business expense.
Coordinate accounts and company tax
Annual accounts and the Company Tax Return are connected, but they are separate pieces of work. Our written scope identifies which accounts, tax calculations and submissions are included, the approvals required and who will make payments. It also identifies anything needed from your existing bookkeeper or previous accountant.
Use the year-end discussion
Your accounts can help explain profitability, amounts owed and movements in the business. Where you need information more regularly, management accounts can provide a separate monthly or quarterly reporting service. Year-end accounts preparation does not provide an audit opinion.
What information will we need?
Start with a brief description of the organisation, the support required, the relevant period and any deadline. If we can take the matter forward, the records requested may include:
- Bookkeeping records or a trial balance
- bank and card statements
- sales and purchase records
- year-end stock information where relevant
- payroll summaries
- loan and finance documents
- details of director transactions
- previous accounts and tax computations
Do not include confidential records, identity documents, bank information, passwords, detailed allegations or legally privileged material in the public form. We agree a secure method for documents after the relevant acceptance checks.
Important professional boundaries
The written engagement defines what is included.
Preparation, filing, payment and additional advisory work are separate responsibilities. Only the services expressly agreed are included. No tax saving, repayment or particular HMRC outcome is guaranteed.
We establish the records, scope, competence, capacity and deadlines before agreeing an engagement.
Receipt of an enquiry does not mean that Delakazzi has accepted the assignment or agreed to act. Work begins only under written engagement terms.

Your questions
Limited company accounts: useful answers
Can you work with our existing bookkeeper?
Yes, subject to an agreed division of work and suitable records. We establish who maintains the bookkeeping, resolves queries and prepares the year-end information so work is not duplicated or left unassigned.
Does an accounts engagement include Corporation Tax and Companies House filing?
Only where those tasks are included in the written scope. We identify preparation, approval and submission responsibilities separately, including any company administration that falls outside the accounts work.
Do directors remain responsible when an accountant prepares the accounts?
Yes. Appointing an accountant does not remove the directors' legal responsibilities. We explain the information and approvals needed from you as part of the agreed service.
